Did you know that?
- More than 1 half of the families you meet in downtown
Newport News live in poverty
- There are close to 1,700 individuals living in the vicinity
of St. Paul’s who fight hunger and potential homelessness
on a daily basis.
- 50% of people living near our region’s industrial
capital are struggling with joblessness.
Since 1880, St. Paul’s has welcomed in peace and offered
compassionate care to those who are hungry, ill, without safe
shelter, unemployed, or excluded for whatever reason. Today,
St. Paul’s serves as a safe harbor for many homeless
and low-income people in the city.
